WHO INVENTED THE FIRST EVER GO KART?

The first ever go kart was invented back in 1956. The man responsible for this invention was Art Ingels. He put together a chassis from scrap metal and used a two-stroke engine and some semi-pneumatic tires. Wherever he took his new invention people would stop and stare and it was not long before this invention became a national obsession.

Many of the greats in NASCAR got their start racing in the World Karting Association. But there is one particular story that is inspiring. Formula One champion Fernando Alonso started racing karts when he was just three years old. But he came from a humble family who were unable to finance his passion for motor racing. But thanks to his natural talent and ability to win races, he received sponsorship and the money he needed to continue racing and went on to become world champion.
